"Her Stars Will Shine" A Tribute to Billie Barry - Gaiety Theatre, October2017
The Billie Barry Stage School will stage a Tribute to Billie Barry with an exciting production "Her Stars Will Shine" at the Gaiety Theatre, from 17th October to 21st October 2017, a spectacular action packed variety entertainment show for all the family. This wonderful evening will feature all of the School's current students and the special guests will be the hilarious June Rodgers in her latest comedic guises, direct from LA Samantha Mumba, our very own West End Star Louise Bowden and the very talented Keith Hanna. Ruth Anne Cunninghan
The super talented past pupil Ruth Anne Cunninghan is having incredible success in LA writing hit songs for artists including One Direction, Britney Spears, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Pixie Lott and Jojo. Her song 'Pray' featured on the '50 Shades Darker' movie soundtrack. Ruth Anne has recently been signed as an artist to the management company who manage John Legend and Alicia Keys and we'll be hearing some incredible music from her later this year. Her song 'Proud' was inspired by the wonderful Billie Barry and Ruth Anne performed it at our 50th Anniversary Gala Ball in her honour. The song is now featured on the no.1 album in America from Glee star Lea Michelle.
Bord Gais Theatre, Dublin - "Oliver" 2017
Congratulations to student Darragh Malone who won best male performance in a lead role at the Bord Gais Student Theatre Awards for his role of Fagan in the musical "Oliver", performed by his primary school - St. Mochta's NS. The school also won Best Overall Musical.
"Don't Forget the Bread" 2017
Congratulations to our students Darrahg Malone and Aoife doyle who feature in the IFTA nominated animated short film "Don't Forget the Bread".
"Cellar Door" 2017
Following on from his successful role in Vikings, our student Conor O'Hanlon features in the role of Daniel in the Cellar Door which is due for release in 2017.
Grammys 2017
Congratulations to our past pupil, the talented and very beautiful Susan McFadden who received a Grammy Nomination with Celtic Woman for their album Destiny. They were nominated in the Best World Music category.
"The Man Who Invented Christmas" 2017
Congratulations to our senior students Chelsea Lawless, Christen Mooney, Chloe Cleary and Abby Phillips who feature in the film "The Man who Invented Christmas" - a movie starring Dan Stevens, Christopher Plummer and Jonathan Pryce.
London Palladium - Prodijig - 2017
Congratulations to our fabulous senior students Zoe Talbot and Christen Mooney who appeared with Prodijig on the London Palladium tonight on ITV.
National Concert Hall - "Me and My Girl" 2017
Congratulations to past pupil Yasmine Missaoui who played the leading role of Sally Smith in "Me and My Girl" at the National Concert Hall, 2017.
Gate Theatre- "One for the Road" 2017
Congratulations to our students Daniel Lynch and Pharell Evenor who appeared in "One for the Road", a Harold Pinter play, directed by Doug Hughes for the Beckett Friel Pinter Festival at the Gate Theatre.
Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin"The Wedding Singer" 2017
Congratulations to past pupil Hannah Jay Allan (Skehan) who performed in "The Wedding Singer" at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. Hannah has just finished a run of "Beautiful", The Carole King Musical at the Aldwych Theatre, West End London.
