The Billie Barry Stage School
The Billie Barry Stage School celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2024 by staging a phenomenal week-long production, ‘Diamonds are Forever’, at the Gaiety Theatre.
This was a spectacular production for all the family, starring past and present BBKs. The show, which was produced and directed by Lorraine Barry, received unprecedented acclaim. A very special production for a very special year! DUBLIN, Ireland: The Billie Barry Stage School, founded in 1964 by Billie Barry, has become Ireland’s premier, best known and most respected institution of its kind. With more than sixty years of tradition and an ethos of excellence, the school continues to thrive under the direction of Billie’s daughter Lorraine Barry.
Billie Barry has become a household name due to the phenomenal success the School has enjoyed. Past pupils, to name but a few, include Jacinta Whyte, Angeline Ball, Susan McFadden, Brian McFadden, Mikey Graham (Boyzone), Samantha Mumba, Hilda Fay, Louise Bowden, Daryn Crosbie, Brenda Donoghue, Lisa Lambe , Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Hannah Jay-Allen. 
Catering for students aged 3-20, with enrolments twice yearly (September and January), the school is dedicated to providing well-rounded professional tuition in dance, singing, music and theatrical performance, musical theatre and stagecraft.
