Classes

The Billie Barry Stage School continues to be attuned to the needs of an ever-changing profession and continues to adapt accordingly.

Still, it also takes a practical and balanced approach that allows students of all abilities to enjoy themselves and be educated without false expectations or demands being placed upon them.

Thus, whether students who attend after school benefit from the exercise, recreation and enjoyment of classes, or they excel and have special talent that is nurtured and honed, all who attend are given the attention they deserve.

The Billie Barry Stage School is a meeting place where students aged 3 to 20 can socialise together while learning a variety of performing art forms in a professional and disciplined environment.

Class Structure

Classes commence with a jazz-based warmup to exercise and tone every part of the body while working on flexibility and technique.

We structure our classes so that there is continuity from term to term and from year to year. Students are regularly assessed and will always be placed in a class where they can reach their full potential and gain a real sense of accomplishment.

We regularly invite parents to attend end-of-term performance days. These are invaluable, as students get to perform their work in front of a live audience. Parents enjoy this opportunity to see how their children are progressing.

The most exciting opportunity for all of our students is the thrill of appearing in our week long production in the prestigious Gaiety Theatre Dublin. This is always a lavish, spectacularly-costumed, thoroughly professional production with a live orchestra and is loved by audiences young and old.
