What an incredible week we had with Our 60th Anniversary Celebration production ‘Diamonds are Forever’ at the Gaiety Theatre in October 2024. It was an enormous success. The applause and ovations, the electric atmosphere and buzz in South King Street creating such joy.
WE DID IT! Bravo everyone! Take a bow! Our incredible BB team, the production team, our sensational BBKs, our wonderful guest artists, the band, the chaperones, the backstage crews and everyone involved gave their all to ensure the show was such a success. It has been a massive journey but what a result! Memories to cherish forever. The BBSS celebrating 60 fabulous years! |

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our fabulous BBK Maria Rowley who has been cast as Jemima Potts in Festival Theatre Productions CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG at the NCH this Christmas season. Congratulations also to our students Juliette MDonnell, Saoirse Fitzsimons, Robyn Farrelly, Maya Sheils, Lia Sheils, Mona Sheils, Amy Lydon, Lily Bolger, Lucy McCluskey, Eliana Cloma, Chloe Daly and Adam O’Meara who will feature as part of the ensemble. Delighted to see our past BBK Róisín Sullivan in the role of Truly Scrumptious and the show is choreographed by our own Daniel Cheech Maguire! |
Poor - Gate Theatre World PremiereSEPTEMBER 2025
Huge congratulations to our fabulous BBK Pippa Owens who has been cast as young Katriona in Katriona O’Sullivan’s POOR, adapted by Sonya Kelly and directed by Róisín McBrinn at the Gate Theatre. It previews from September 26th opens October 2nd. Also delighted to see our fabulous past BBK Hilda Fay amongst the cast. This is very exciting! |

So proud of our gorgeous BBK Chloe Browne who has been cast in the role of Ciara in HER FATHER'S VOICE by Shane O'Reilly, music by Tom Lane. Shane O’Reilly fuses theatre, opera and film in a bold and ambitious new work. Summer School ShowcaseJULY 2025
WOW BBKs!!!! What an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS Summer School Showcase we had. Such a massive achievement to accomplish such a high level of performance with such a huge volume of challenging work in just three weeks. We are so proud of every single student. The response from our audiences was phenomenal and we raised €1,716.19 for St. Francis Hospice. Huge congratulations and thanks to our fabulous creative BBSS team Louise Bowden, Linzi Cowap, Robyn Hargadon and Musical Director Peter Beckett. |

JUNE 2025
SO proud and delighted to have had the wonderful opportunity to work with our fabulous past BBK Ciarán Connolly @connolly82 @lockedcreative on a most prestigious event that was staged in the magnificent Convention Centre Dublin last week. After auditions, 12 of our BBKs were chosen to perform. A huge congratulations to Kate Malone, Sophie Bao Garrahy, Jake Farmer, Amy Rose O’Hanlon, Lana Rice, Lila Rice, Danielle O’Neill, Meadow Neville, RJ Ragpala, Zhi Ming Qiang, Ciarán Stackpoole and Pippa Chummun. This was a truly amazing experience for our BBKs who got to work with some of the entertainment industries biggest stars, a team of professionals from America and the UK and then to perform at the CCD. |

APRIL 2025
Wow! Biggest congratulations to our fabulous past BBK the incredible Kellie Morris who made her debut as leading lady in RIVERDANCE in The Cadillac Palace Theatre Chicago. Kellie has been touring the world with Riverdance as ensemble dancer and solo vocalist but this role is a dream come true! How amazing for Kellie and her wonderful parents Lorraine Byrne (also a past BBK) and Hugh Morris. Kellie featured in our 60th Anniversary production DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER and blew everyone away with her phenomenal talent. We couldn’t be prouder of this truly beautiful girl. Bravo Kellie |

MARCH 2025:
Huge congratulations to our two fabulous students Nyla De Grate and Eliana Getachew who feature in the movie BONHOEFFER, a war drama directed by Todd Komarnicki. The film was released in the USA in November 2024 and opens in UK and Irish cinemas on March 7th 2025. The girls filmed this movie on location in Belgium and had the most wonderful experience. Well done girls. Looking forward to seeing you on the big screen ! |

FEBRUARY 2025: HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our fabulous, super talented past pupil Hazel Doupe who won the award for ‘Supporting Actress in a Drama’ at the 2025 IFTAs for her performance of Marian Price in SAY NOTHING, a powerful limited series which was released on Disney+ and Hulu in November 2024. Hazel has always been an incredible, dedicated, passionate and hardworking actress, singer/songwriter, dancer, gymnast… the list goes on and through all of her achievements and success has always remained both humble and compassionate. We are so proud of you Hazel and are so delighted to see you receiving the recognition you truly deserve. BRAVO |

VERY PROUD of our gorgeous past pupil Aisling Breen who will this year take on the role of Storyteller in Residence for children with Dublin City Libraries. Aisling is and always will be one of our very special BBKs. Such wonderful memories shared and cherished. Best of luck in this role Aisling, perfect for you. NOVEMBER 2024 - JANUARY 2025:
What an incredible run! 90 performances! Our 53rd year associated with the Gaiety panto. Huge congratulations to our fabulous senior student Clodagh Kane in the role of Wendy Darling. The show included Freddy Cornally and Ciaran Stackpoole as John Darling, Dylan Bowe and Robert Brady as Michael Darling, Jake Farmer, RJ Ragpala, Daisy Blue O’Leary, Ruby Gill, Lana Rice, Lila Rice, Trystan Bruen, Zhiming Qiang, Grace Dalton, Danielle O’Neill, Poppy Deans and Meadow Neville as the Lost Boys/Girls. How amazing that we also have past pupil Darragh Malone as ’Crusty Joxer’, our stunning Senior Student Lola Mundowe Polley in an ensemble role and students Charlie Gill and David Balasca sharing the role of Tik Tok Croc! Linzi Cowap, our fabulous BB teacher/ choreographer and also BBK's panto dance captain is hilarious in the role of Psycho Sally. The school’s musical director, the wonderful Peter Beckett is also musical director for the Gaiety panto and past pupil, the fabulous Daryn Crosbie, is Director/ Choreographer/Scriptwriter. ‘It’s no ordinary panto... it’s the Gaiety Panto!' |
