Christmas at the NCHDecember 2023
ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED to have our BBKs feature as special guests in A CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL on Sunday December 10th at the National Concert Hall. Students from the BBSS have been part of this production for over 30 years now… such a wonderful tradition and always a joy to perform in the NCH especially during the festive season. |

Gaiety Panto - Cinderella

And here we go … Opening night of CINDERELLA celebrating 150 years of panto at the magnificent Gaiety Theatre. Break a leg our fabulous BBKs and your chaperones, our super teacher LINZI COWAP in the role of ugly sister Melody, past pupil AISLING BREEN in the role of ugly sister Harmony.
Senior student CLODAGH KANE and past pupil CHRISTEN MOONEY as part of the ensemble, Musical Director PETER BECKETT, Director/choreographer/scriptwriter DARYN CROSBIE, our good friends MICHAEL JOSEPH and JOE CONLAN and all of the fantastic panto cast, crew and orchestra.
This is no ordinary panto... it’s the Gaiety panto — and we are beyond proud to be part of it since 1971! Shine brightly everyone and have an amazing opening night and a hugely successful panto season.

A huge but well-deserved achievement for Clodagh and we couldn’t be prouder or happier. What a girl and such an amazing experience for her. Go smash it gorgeous girl! |

Musicala 7… Mahony Hall Helix. October 2023
WOW!!! WHAT an INCREDIBLE WEEKEND! Our Musicala 7 Higher Ground shows at the Mahony Hall Helix were a massive success! CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!! Complete sellout shows and several standing ovations… who could ask for anything more! We could not be prouder of our fabulous cast from our Juniors to our Seniors! Incredible performances from all. BRAVO. Huge congratulations to our Fab BB Team of creatives, PETER BECKETT, LOUISE BOWDEN, ROBYN HARGADON and LINZI COWAP... what a show! You are very special people. Our amazing guest performers RUTHANNE and MICHAEL JOSEPH tore the house down! Huge thanks to GERRY McCANN, stage manager, CATHAL DONOHUE on lighting and VINNY OSBORNE on sound. |

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing senior student KATELYN MORIARTY who successfully auditioned for several colleges in England and has made her choice to continue her training at the very prestigious LAINE THEATRE ARTS. Katelyn has been a student of the BBSS since 2011. She is a fabulous dancer/singer with a passion for performance. An exemplary student always with an incredible work ethic she is so deserving of this opportunity. We will miss you Katelyn but everyone at the BBSS is sending so much love and luck on this next stage of your journey. Shine brightly! |

Sandwiched between Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo at Number 2 in the UK Itunes charts and Number 1 in the Irish Itunes charts is our very own girl, past pupil, Grammy nominated singer songwriter and guest star of our Helix show this October 7th & 8th RUTHANNE ! With her song "The Vow" catapulting to the top of the charts yet again, we couldn't be more proud of @thisisruthanne and all her deserved success. Follow her journey and go stream and buy her single now and then buy a ticket to see her perform in Higher Ground at the Helix this October 7th & 8th. Mahony Concert Hall - Helix The Billie Barry Stage School presents Musicala 7 Higher Ground, a fabulous production where song and dance collide. Starring West End Phantom of the Opera Star KILLIAN DONNELLY and Grammy Nominated Songwriter and Recording Artist RUTHANNE -- also featuring the choirs and senior performers of the Billie Barry Stage School. YES!! Fabulous news! Our fantastic student SARAH McDONNELL won first prize, The Florence Harvey Cup, for flute solo under 15 in the Feis Ceoil at the RDS! Amazing! So proud of you Sarah!
Our super student 12 year old MATEI BALASCA also won 1st Prize, Gold Medal in the under 17 Junior Saxophone Competition in the Feis Ceoil at the RDS. So proud of you Matei.
Congratulations also to our fabulous student 11 year old CHLOE DOYLE who received a VHC placing 3rd in the girls vocal solo under 12. Well done Chloe.

New studio floor at BBSS

WOW, what an exciting day yesterday for all our lucky Saturday students. They got to be the first classes to test out our brand new Marley studio floor!
This is a state of the art dance floor that allows our students fluid movement and grip, as they are challenged by different styles during every class. A truly incredible addition to our school that will enhance every students experience at class!
A pleasure for all to dance on and a pleasure to teach on.
