Classes Choirs
Children who wish to join a choir must already be a member of the school. They will undertake a short audition after which those deemed to possess potential as well as ability will be accepted.
At present there are four choirs of different age groups who attend one class every week lasting an hour. These are held on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Classes are structured around the fundamentals of:
The children's singing of songs benefits from the work they do, as they gain experience in singing counter-melodies and in harmony.
The work in the class is designed to improve all-round singing ability and musical knowledge rather than simply learning songs.
- Breath control
to breathe correctly and maintain an even flow of air. - Vocal projection
to learn how to deliberately place the voice. - Scales and exercises
To develop pitch control and musical dexterity. - Aural tests

At the end of term the choirs perform their repertoire to parents, family and friends.
Choir students have the exciting opportunity to perform in their own production, Musicala, which showcases their talent in a concert setting. These concerts are staged in the 1,000-seater Mahony Hall at The Helix, DCU.
